Very interesting, and beautiful! It's already been mentioned, but this had that 'seductive but empty' VtM vibe. With the difference being our protagonist's little plot twist~

I'll be honest and say that part of the intrigue for me is that you've listed this as a queer vampire story. I feel like most of the vampire stories I've encountered are predominantly hetero. Which is kind of odd, because vampires have always read to me as having homosexual undertones.

Bringing me to my next question: is the sire's name (Marvella) a reference to Carmilla/ Mircalla, or is it just a coincidence?

I have even more questions, because this short demo has really caught my interest! But I'll leave it at that (for now). Good work/ be proud of your demo. It's very intriguing.

I am so confused, but the fish reference was hilariously placed.

This was excellent! Rowan and Jorin are very dynamic together, and the story was compelling. I found myself very curious about the worldbuilding and the journey that came before this one. It definitely feels very fleshed out and relatable. I may have teared up once or twice. :')

Awwwww, this was so fun! Azram IS very intriguing. Also, I was honestly surprised by his age. I thought he was in his 30's? The banter was really engaging and easy to fall into, I love playing those cheeky characters. I'm curious how much backstory you planned out before writing this.

Anyways, great job!

I loved Hero's Journey soooo much, so it's really nice to see this little snippet of Aerona!

I'm in love! Perfect short game. As a fan of gothic/ fairytale fiction, I can say it's hard to find any that's wlw. So this is really special. Not to mention the good atmosphere, writing, and characters! And as if all that wasn't enough, the attention paid to how these girls keep their hair is just perfect. Absolutely going to follow this account now. My only complaint is wanting more! Congratulations on creating such a lovely story. :)

So excited! How many parts will the full game be?

Hello, I'd like to purchase the game but don't have a PayPal account. Is there an option for a card or visa?

This was so much fun! Exactly what I was looking for when I found it.  Abigail, our sassy bard, had the best lines. Especially when going up against that dry humor of Lucius'. The two are quite a match. In shorter pieces like this, it's more important to have strong characters and interpersonal relationships; which this definitely had!

I don't want to get into spoilers, but the backstories for each were refreshing and believable. Funnily enough, I found myself feeling more sorry for Abi. Which was a surprise since I definitely fall into the category of people who are soft for vampires, lol. On the other hand, I have the feeling that we didn't learn the extent of Lucius' background...

The Bliss Vampire end was interesting. I really didn't expect that from Abigail, or for Lucius to follow her so easily. I don't know if it was your intent, but I read it as a bad end/ bittersweet end. This becomes even more interesting since I don't think the other Bliss End (Human) was sad at all. Mostly.

I'm so curious; what was going through your mind when planning out the endings? Did you always have them in mind when you began, or did they develop over time? The last important choice definitely has a bit of philosophy going on.

Anyways, thank you so much for putting in the time and energy to make this little game. It's absolutely lovely, quality work! I'm definitely going to be following this team.

Ouch, this hurt in the best way possible. An amazing short story; love the quiz format!

Just a question here: how does this game lead to Arena Circus? Maybe it's just because a got what I assume is the "good ending"?

I really enjoyed this! I actually wish it was longer. The demon lord turned out to be pretty adorable.

(1 edit)

Once again, an absolutely lovely demo! I tried Soul Contract months ago on a whim and was blown away by the story, interesting mechanics, and animated art. So I was extremely excited to see another game in the same universe! I played as Jou and ended up making a contract with Seladre. I think their dynamic is very good. I look forwards to seeing how their romance will play out.

Hopefully, this project will continue to be something you enjoy; because I think your love for these characters really shows!

Does that mean that the Demo has different endings? I keep getting the Nanase ending...

I'm sorry, but are you telling me that you guys got ******* Fenris to voice Finnegan? How did that happen, lol? Not that I'm complaining. DA II was definitely one big ship for me. XD

***SPOILERS***

Good morning, wherever you are!

I want to start by saying that I love this game. RPG maker horror games are my all-time favorite niche, and it's hard to find developers interested in the genre: let alone able to make such an amazing one! I plan on making a better review once I finish the demo. But for now I'm just here to mention a potential bug. During the scene where you have to option to cut your hand to put blood on the door, the player character has an anxiety attack, right? So I try to press "C" so that she can take some meds to calm down. However, I get an error box whenever I try to do this, and the game shuts itself down. I made sure to screenshot just in case you were interested, so let me know.

Anyways, the game has been fun to explore so far! I don't know how far into the demo I am, but I'll probably have to delete and redownload the game before I can finish it.

You guys are doing really well with visibility. Demo's not even out, and I'm already psyched!

Another thank you from over here! I know we've been a near-rabid pack of fans. You all must be tired. So please get some rest, food, or anything else you might need.

Yeeeeees! Thank you so much!!

Lol, hope the devs are also eating well (I feel like they didn't sleep).

Haha, I can relate (with cookies).

Yay~

I recently put in my application to join. I'd love to be in an active indie-fandom!

Out of curiosity, how many of us are on the discord server?

Same here, I kinda feel like we're one of those lines who camp outside the store for days just to be the first one to buy a game! XD

June. I’m simultaneously excited for this episode, and a little bittersweet (since it’s supposed to wrap up his main character arc).

Whoa, sweet boi Cove grows up! Who wants to bet that he doesn't even notice?

Hello,  I haven't gotten the chance to play Lingering yet; but I've been  watching your progress as a creator since Frequency... Which feels like a different life these days. That first VN was far from perfect; but it stole my heart and I continue to adore it to this day.  You could even say it was one of the defining experiences that got me interested in indie games in the first place.

What I mean to say, is that I've very much enjoyed the stories you've told. And if you continue to make them I will continue to play them. But I understand that the process of game development is draining. There's a reason why everyone wants to make indie games, but so few people do.  Money is definitely a strong factor when it comes to productions like this, and I think Patreon is a really good idea moving forward.

I could probably write a whole essay, and would love to; but maybe not on a public forum?
